Seattle City Tour

After waking up early to catch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on TV, I spent the day touring Seattle and got to watch a live baseball game too.

I shall do a photo blog and try to provide snippets on the pics…here goes

My hotel’s front parking – view from reception
My first glimpse of Seattle skyline

Birth place of Starbucks Coffee – didn’t visit the store though as lines were really long

Glasshouse Studio – where I watched a guy glassblow (is that a real verb?)

Waterfall Garden Park – this is so awesome. A park in the middle of the streets. Perfect for relaxation – I would’ve stayed longer if only I had time.
Klondike Gold Rush Museum
Pioneer Square – my only issue was the state of homelessness. There were a number of homeless in Seattle brought about by rising real estate prices
There’s always Chinatown!

Super yummy clam chowder!!!

Didn’t go up the Space Needle nor visited the Museum of Pop Culture…maybe next time!

Safeco Field – home of the Seattle Mariners

The highlight of my Saturday was obviously the baseball game.  It had been years since my last baseball game, and that was with my Dad and my Uncle.  I got lucky because there were a series of home games that week and I got to watch the last game for the Seattle Mariners. And they won 🙂
