When we decided that the little girl will join the Taipei gymnastics meet, the immediate thing we did was to look for airline and hotel. I would have wanted for the whole fam to take Cebu Pacific but the schedule’s a bit crazy especially since we have 2 kids and 1 senior citizen in tow. Finally, we booked via China Air and my sisters through Eva Air.
Since the trip was made in December, Taipei was cold and rain was in the forecast. We were picked up by a Fil-Taiwanese driver we’ve pre-arranged. The airport to hotel transfer took about 45 minutes as our hotel was on the other side, passing the city center. One thing I noticed during the drive is the existence of highways with mountains on the side. I like the balance between city life and scenery.
To be honest, I was kind of expecting a really small hotel because based on forums about Taipei, room size is something that’s regularly mentioned as a negative. So it was a happy surprise to find a hotel that’s hip, neat and bigger than the standard.
I will let the photos do the talking –
Each floor has a country theme which sets the mood and ambience of that particular floor –
