I have a soft spot for Cebu. That’s so true especially since I contemplated living in this city some years back. So every time I come for a visit whether for business or for leisure, I make time to check out new places, hotels, restaurants etc.
Last week’s day trip was no different. And I have my friend Blessie to thank for, for that. She scheduled meetings in new and trendy restaurants and I can’t be any happier.
First stop was at Canvas in Ayala Terraces. Since we came in for late breakfast, there’s no crowd. The food is okay, and you get your money’s worth. Actually, it’s cheaper than I’ve expected for the quality and presentation. But what I like about the place was they hold painting exhibits for up and coming artists. It’s a pity that by the time we asked about the paintings, the artist left already. Otherwise, we would have met him.

Then for lunch, we headed to N9. I like this place! It’s the owner’s ancestral house which they turned to a restaurant.
The food is superb and I am salivating while I’m typing this as I can’t forget the taste of their pork liempo…haay. Here are some of the food we enjoyed.
We also ordered their Sangria Blanca (over lunch!) and since it’s so good, it was gone fast. I look forward to checking out other new places in Cebu. Maybe next time!
