It is really “shop ’til you drop” at Uniqlo. It was my own corner of heaven. Actually it’s the other corner, because there’s Forever 21 at the other side. Oh wait, does that mean I can have 2 other corners? 🙂
Seriously, when I went to Japan a couple of years ago, this was the “IT” place. Just too bad that we didn’t get to go because the nearest store (in Namba) from where we stayed was a 30-minute (fast) train ride and train tickets were a bit expensive. We decided to hang out in the Rinku outlets na lang.
Now that Uniqlo is here at Mall of Asia in the Philippines, it’s so much easier now to be casual fashionable. I actually just started going to the store last month. Di ako nakisabay sa crowd when it opened last June. And oh boy, I got hooked!
I like how the store was organized – it’s not cluttered! Even if there are racks and racks of clothes, I can immediately see what I’m looking for. I like the idea that size sets are placed at the rack so I don’t need to get folded items. Dyahe kasi to get then not able to fold it again to the way it was.

The fabric of the shirts are also to-die-for. I like the way it clings to my body and how the sizes work. Di sya like other brands na hindi okay ang fit. I guess it’s because they take the Asian body as peg kaya pasok ang fit sa kin. They’re also crazy imaginative – they have Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh and Barbie prints. In fact, I just got Lian a Barbie shirt (I hope she’ll like it).
I can’t wait to go have another shopping expedition at Uniqlo. It’s my Oz 🙂
