When Loves Met Love Part 1

As an ode to the month of love, let me share with you my own love story (will try to make habol pa sa February).  Kahit hindi nyo gusto malaman, ikwe-kwento ko pa rin!  Pagbigyan nyo na ko because this is the only time and venue I think I would be comfortable talking about finding my greatest love – hubby J. šŸ™‚

Whenever you ask him about our first meeting, it will not come as a surprise that he won’t remember.  Why, you ask?  Because he’s drunk!  And he’s with another girl (na kahit anong deny nya and sabi na friend lang, I have a very strong feeling that he considered to go beyond friendship).  Anyway, we met while he still had a girlfriend and I, on the other hand, was nursing a broken heart/ego.  Sabi nya not doing well na at that time ang relationship nya and in fact, the following day of our first unofficial meeting, nag-break na sila.  Ako naman, I came from a hurtful relationship months back and when I was slowly going back to the dating scene, it didn’t turn out well.

Oh well, that was it – we met in Magda’s (wala na ‘to now) in Mandaluyong which was owned by a friend of theirs.  J and I were introduced by Che na friend ng aking ex.  Nothing extraordinary happened that night…the sparks (naks) happened a month later.  Che was assigned to look for a venue for their barkada party and since I was such a good friend *wink*wink*, I volunteered to accompany her.  J went with us šŸ™‚

That was the start of the many nights the 3 of us will hang out together.  We didn’t really start out as friends because from the onset pa lang, he made his intentions clear that he’s eyeing more than friendship.  Ako na, ako na!

We became a couple Sunday, 28 December 2003 after hearing mass at Sta. Ana church…and kissing Sto. Nino for good luck šŸ™‚
