Early this year, I had the chance to travel to North Asian countries with my office buddies for an office-related project. Actually, our trips together started 4th quarter 2010 with road trips and domestic travel that brought us to Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Cagayan, Bacolod and Clark. Then the international trips came 1st quarter 2011.
But I won’t dwell on the office matters because it’s boring (pero exciting naman when we’re doing it…kaya lang naka-move on na ko sa ibang project). I’ll share na lang our experiences in the quick trips we embarked on and funny anecdotes that I will forever cherish.
Domestic trips – Cebu, Davao, Clark, Iloilo, Bacolod and Cagayan. Here are some pics taken from a night out in Cebu…maboteng usapan kasi š

Beijing, China – we went there in the middle of winter. Ang lamig! Dun ko na-experience ang “biting cold”. It’s already bad that the temp’s -10 plus may wind pa. Up to now, I can’t believe we were able to climb the wall in that condition…but what’s masaya is kami lang tao!
The Great Wall of China – should I say more?! |
Incheon, South Korea – after 2 weeks, we spent another winter wonderland in Korea. It’s my first time to touch snow as in really touch. I’ve seen snow before when I went to Europe but springtime na that’s why nasa mountain caps na lang ang snow. But this time, super bawi because I walked and walked on slippery snow.

Osaka, Japan – oh, i can so live here! Winner ang mga tao, they’re so disciplined. I like the place because there’s a balance between it being a city and still quiet pa rin. PLUS, and that’s a major plus, shopping, shopping, shopping! The super brands are here! I’m not a shopping type of person but for some reason, I really indulged in retail therapy here. Parang ang sarap lang gumastos š

The whole travel thing was happiness and such a learning experience (seriously). It was my first time in all the cities we visited so you get to take bits and pieces of the place with you. I can say I fell in love with Japan but I like the people of Korea and the historic feel of Beijing. Given the chance, I’ll go back to these places. For sure, there’s something new to learn.
In fact, do I hear…Korea, here I go again?!
